Answers to the questions clients most often ask before sending a request to COTI.
What does COTI do?
COTI is a Canadian company that sources industrial equipment, spare parts, MRO materials and technical services for oil & gas, energy, hydrogen, mining and industrial projects, and coordinates inspection, documentation and logistics up to delivery.
Which countries do you serve?
COTI works with clients worldwide, in the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia. Each request is checked against the applicable export, sanctions and customs rules.
Can you find obsolete or hard-to-find parts?
Yes. From a nameplate photo, an old part number or a drawing, COTI identifies the item, searches cross-references and contacts stockholders, the original manufacturer and approved equivalents.
Do you supply original OEM parts?
COTI supplies OEM parts whenever they are available. When they are not, technically equivalent alternatives can be proposed with their documentation, always subject to the client’s approval.
What information should I send with an RFQ?
Item descriptions, quantities, part numbers, standards and specifications, nameplate photos or drawings, delivery location (Incoterm) and required date. The more complete the request, the faster and more accurate the offer.
Do you provide certificates and documentation?
Yes. Depending on the requirement: material certificates (e.g. EN 10204 3.1), certificates of conformity, test and inspection reports, certificates of origin, packing lists and vendor data books.
Can you arrange inspection before shipment?
Yes. COTI coordinates pre-shipment, dimensional and visual inspection, FAT/SAT, NDT and third-party inspection through qualified, independent organisations.
How are goods shipped?
COTI coordinates export packing, air, sea or road freight, consolidation, cargo insurance and customs documents with qualified freight forwarders, up to site delivery when required.
Do you handle urgent shutdown requirements?
Yes. Urgent RFQs are handled in priority with parallel sourcing and expedited logistics, subject to market availability and compliance requirements.
In which languages can we work with you?
COTI works in English and French. Our technical advisor also speaks Arabic, German and Italian.
